The Metamorphosis of
Joslyn & Morris Lithoprinters

In the Northwest, the name Joslyn has been synonymous with fine printing since 1947. That's when Charlie Joslyn turned a boyhood interest in printing into a business by opening Beacon Litho in Boise, Idaho. For the next 22 years, until his retirement, Charlie and a succession of partners advanced the printing craft by taking advantage of new technology and by meticulous attention to detail. In the process, Charlie became known as a perfectionist and his company built a reputation for outstanding work.

The firm was sold in 1972. The Joslyn name was retained as a visible symbol of the company's continuous commitment to quality. For the benefit of clients, J&M installed Idaho's first computerized four-color press in 1977. In 1985, to better serve a growing clientele, Joslyn & Morris moved from South 3rd St. to more spacious quarters at its present location on Federal Way in Boise.

Though J&M has changed and grown beyond its founder's wildest dreams, and is now one of the premier full-service printers in the Northwest, the firm has never wavered from its dedication to superior craftsmanship in printing. Charlie Joslyn would be proud.
